A Bill of Materials (BOM) is a list of raw materials, packaging materials and charges needed to manufacture an end product. A BOM can be part of another BOM which can produce an intermediate item. A BOM may be used for communication between manufacturing partners or used with in the company for streamlined manufacturing. Every production work order must have a BOM.
